Soldier's
Pets needs Homes
Meadowlands,
PA:
Today is Sam's last day at his home, his owners will be shipping
out on Friday for Germany. On Thursday 4 May, he will go to Angel
Ridge Rescue in PA. Sam will still need a home and a family to love
him! Sammy's owners are being deployed to Germany, their housing
does not permit pets. They urgently need to find Sammy a good home
and have not been successful in doing that. They have had Sammy
since he was a puppy and are hoping a loving indoor home can be
found for him as soon as possible. Sammy is an 8 year old Germ
Shep/Husky mix. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccines,
housebroken and walks nicely on a leash. Sammy has always been an
only dog. He has never been around cats but does not pay much
attention to those who wander into his yard. He seems to like most
other dogs who are his neighbors and some of those he meets on his
walks. Sammy has never lived with children. So we really don't know
how he would be with them. He is a well behaved doggy and knows most
basic commands. CONTACT: Angel Ridge Animal Rescue

****************** Jewel & Rebel in Florida: Our Soldier
recently returned from Iraq and will soon be deployed again, we are
in need of adoptive homes because our Soldier plans to make the
military a career. This will continue to be a problem for us as to
where will we stay while he is away from home for long periods of
time. We will miss him, but we need a stable place to rest our heads
and call home. Jewel is a 2 yr Black lab mix female, she is as nice
and sweet as she can be. Rebel is a 2 yr male Boxer- Bulldog mix and
is very sweet, but less confident and relies on Jewel to help him
feel secure. Children make him a bit nervous so he should not go
where there are small children. They are housebroken, indoor dogs
and are well-behaved and very loving. The soldier wishes for them to
find homes where they would not be seperated. Both dogs are about
50-55 pounds. Jewel has allergic reactions to distemper shots. They
are fed two cups of Iams dry dog food a twice a day. Contact:

Seeking Donation Support
Afghanistan
Mascots seeking support for May arrival's. Mick's soldier
writes: I saved this puppy from being run over while out on patrol
in Southern Afghanistan. When I first saved Mick, she was only 5
weeks old. Mick is now a little over 3 months old and has grown into
my best friend. Although she is relatively young, she has learned to
do things like wait outside the gym when I go to do a workout. Mick
will sit outside without running off and just wait till I finish my
workout and them go with me back to the barracks. I have been able
to keep her in my barracks during the winter and now that things are
warming up I need to try and get her back to the US so I am not
ordered to release her. My mother and father have agreed to keep
Mick till I get back from here sometime this Summer. Anything you
can do to help me bring Mick back would be greatly appreciated. Mick
is one of the more positive things that has happened to me while
here in Afghanistan, and I would like to raise her in an environment
where she will be loved and not have to worry about being shot or
blown up by a land mine like so many of the stray dogs here are.
Thank you for considering helping Mick get to the US. Top
Secret's Soldier writes: Top Secret was found on a roadside in
Afghanistan when she was about 6 weeks old. She was originally named
for a suspected bad guy we were looking for in the area, but we got
tired of saying, "well, that's top secret," when people asked what
her name was, so Top Secret it became. We are stationed at a fairly
remote base, and T.S. has been an invaluable touch of home for us
when we're feeling down. She is anxiously awaiting a trip back to
the States, where my family is waiting for her. Thank you for
supporting T.S. and Military Mascots. If you would like to help
Mick or Top Secret please show your support at:
