8/16/03: Tucson, AZ: FOUND: Beautiful
Black Lab Saturday night 8/16/03. He wandered up from a wash at a friends
house and just never left. He is very sweet and gentle. He's about 75-80
lbs. and is probably around 5 yrs. old. I found him near Silverbell between
Speedway and Grant. He was wearing a red collar with an expired license
tag from 2001. He is registered as lost at both the Humane Society and
Animal Control. He is being very well taken care of in my home, but would
like to reunite him with his family.

8/16/03: STOLEN: Templeton, MA: . March
14, 2003, we had 1 male & 1 female English Springer Spaniel pups stolen
from our home. They are both white & liver, they were 15 wks old when
stolen - they would be 8 months old now. AKC papers and medical records
were also taken. The male was a large pup, and expect he'd be around 50
lbs now. The female was smaller and would probably be around 40 lbs, her
ears were covered with very wavy hair. Both were very sweet pups. The male,
who we called Freckle, played with the runt very gently - We called the
female Precious, she was sweet, though a barker and a climber.

8/8/03: Stolen Chihuahua in Hayden
Lake, Idaho. Stolen on 9-22-02 in North Idaho.
Male white short haired Chihuahua. Truman is neutered and was about 8lbs
when he was taken. His ears tend to be floppy more than stand up and he
looks like a mini lab. He pulls one back leg up or will hop on one leg
when he runs due to a painful hip that was being treated when he was taken.
He is very friendly and loves to smile and show off his teeth. He hates
baseball caps and prefers women over men. He is not fond of children. His
tail is slightly crooked and his color is white to off white. He is 4 years
old. He has been a companion to a young woman with Multiple Sclerosis his
entire life. He is missed very much. Every effort is being made to find
Truman. It is possible he was seen in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on the 4th of
July.

7/3/03: STOLEN, Friendsville, PA: February
26,2002: Raven is a whippet,
black w/ white, male, neutered, now 6 years old, broken canine tooth, tattoo
on inside thigh: HM699134/02.
Amanda is a boxer/pitbull
mix, brindle w/ white, female, spayed, faint scar on nose, (did have) small
bump on right side of head. My best guess on her age would be 5-9 years.
Someone, somewhere has information as to the where abouts of Raven and/or
Amanda. I was staying with a friend in Friendsville, PA (I live in NY).
I went to work one morning and returned to find them missing. I was told
that my dogs ran off. I have also driven the area that the dogs vanished
in; called radio stations;television stations; posted fliers in a 30 mile
radius; and listed the dogs with pets911 as well as Petfinders.com. I also
contacted the police in PA. It took the PA state police three and one half
months to even be willing to take a report. The report consisted of 4 lines
to which I was not permitted to have a copy. Someone keeps tearing my fliers
down in Friendsville, PA. Raven & Amanda are obedience trained.

7/3/03: LOST: $1,000 REWARD! I am missing
the pride of my life - a black and white true tuxedo called Shakie Wilcox.
Shakie is an indoor/outdoor cat that has been missing
since Mother's Day (5/12/2003). She is 1.5 years old, mostly black,
with white tummy, chest, whiskers, paws and a very distinctive white stripe
down the bridge of her nose. She was lost at the four corners of Westport/Weston/Easton/Fairfield.
Shakie is microchipped and can be scanned for identity and medical information.
All urgent medical attention required by a veterinarian will be authorized.
Shakie is very wary of strangers and unfamiliar situations and will not
voluntarily approach a human unless she is in distress or is baited with
food. She is not a vicious cat and is easily handled by people she knows.
She is also VERY afraid of cars and the road and stays away from both.

STOLEN: Puerto Rico: Mickey, a healthy
11 year old, blue and gold macaw was originally stolen from his home in
Salinas, Puerto Rico, on January 11, 2002. At time of abduction he was
wearing an ID band on left leg. Body size is considered small for a blue
and gold. His wings have always been kept clipped - prior to January 11,
he had only two flight feathers (one on each side) and last couple of inches
of feathers have a ribbon effect. His nails at time of abduction were very
long. Words like "hello" and "hola" are common to his
vocabulary... says "hello" as a way of saying "thank you"...and
uses"ha" when he wants a special treat...or when asked a question.
He also whistles several ways, including wolf whistle. As of this date
in June 2003, he has not been found. Owner continues to be ABSOLUTELY devastated
by his loss. Mickey was adopted by his owner as a baby and has spent past
10 years prior to the abduction with him almost 24/7...has been treated
as a child, and is not a normal, caged bird. Large
reward is being offered for Mickey's safe return. There will be
no questions asked, and his owner is appealing to everyone with compassion
to help reunite Mickey with him.
Information about Mickey can be forwarded to the telephone numbers:

5/03: Indiana: Lost male Yorkshire Terrier
Puppy - $1000.00 REWARD. Tyson was lost in a car accident on I-90
in Indiana on 4/24/03: Tyson, neutered male Yorkie, 10 months, 3-4 pounds,
black with tan, puppy cut, super friendly. Black rhinestone collar with
tag. Could have been picked up and dropped anywhere. My son was coming
home from college he blew a tire, hit the median and his car flipped upside
down. Poor Tyson was sleeping in his bed next to him. My son was trapped
in the car and Tyson walked out a broken window and took off. My son was
yelling "my dog, my dog", but everyone was just interested in
getting him out of his car. By the time he did get out Tyson was gone.
We are all heartbroken, he's such a little, helpless, loving thing.

5/2/03: LOST from Wethersfield, CT
on 3/29/03: Hopper is a 6 yr, neutered male, black and tan Newfie/Rottie
mix with Rottie like markings. At 55 pounds when lost, he is not as large
as his breed would suggest. He may look more like a Border Collie/ Rottie
mix or a GSD mix to some people. He escaped from a fenced yard in Wethersfield
CT, approx 5 miles south of Hartford, and very close to Rtes 91 and 3.
When lost he was wearing a blue collar with NH rabies and MA license tags.
He was also wearing a purple bandana that has likely fallen off. Hopper
has medium to long thin silky hair on his body, short to medium hair on
his head and ears (he has floppy ears), and long hair on his tail. He also
has "almost" feathering on his front legs. He normally carries
his tail down against or between his legs. There is a small white spot
in the center of the tan on his chest and his bottom canine teeth are worn
down and barely visible over the gum. He has some bone scarring and some
surface scarring on his right front leg from an old break and has an old
cruciate tear that may cause a hind end limp if tired. He is VERY timid
and likely to run if approached, especially if approached by a man. If
you see a dog resembling Hopper it is important that you DO NOT CHASE HIM.
Please make note of the time and EXACT location including nearest cross-streets
and other landmarks, and call one of the numbers listed below as soon as
possible. If Hopper should show up in a shelter, though he has no aggression,
I have no doubt that he would be considered unadoptable by shelter staff
and standards, due to his extreme fear of unfamiliar people and places.
He is one that will undoubtedly cower in at the rear of a kennel and will
be completely unresponsive to people. Therefore it is urgent that if you
see a dog resembling him in your local shelter, please contact one of the
numbers listed below ASAP.
